Connecting your marketing stack: what setup actually involves
Honest attribution needs a few systems talking to each other. Here is exactly what connects, what we handle for you, and why it takes days rather than months.
The most common question I get before a firm starts is some version of “how much work is this going to be for us?” Fair question. The honest answer is: a little at the start, and then almost none. Attribution only works if a few systems you already use are connected, and connecting them is most of the setup. After that it runs on its own.
Here is what actually gets wired together, in plain terms.
The four connections
Your website. We add a lightweight measurement layer to the site so visits are tied to their source server-side. This recovers the direct and AI-driven traffic that ordinary analytics tends to throw away, and it does not slow your pages down. If Scout built your site, this is already handled.
Your analytics. We read from the tools you likely already have, Google Analytics and Search Console, so we are building on your existing data rather than asking you to start over. Nothing gets deleted or replaced.
Your call tracking. Most cases still start with a phone call, so calls have to be part of the picture. We connect your call-tracking system (or set one up) so each call is tied back to the marketing that drove it, and intake can be reviewed later.
Your case system. This is the one that closes the loop. We connect to your CRM, Litify and others, so a signed matter can trace back through intake to the channel that started it. This is a read connection built around how your firm already works. You do not change your process.
What we handle, what you provide
You provide access and a little context. We handle the wiring.
From you: sign-off to connect the accounts above, and a short conversation about your channels and how your intake runs. That is genuinely most of your involvement.
From us: the actual integration, the mapping, the checking that data is flowing correctly, and the tuning so the numbers reflect your firm rather than a generic template. Every account is set up personally, because the setup is specific to your systems and I would rather get it right than hand you a wizard and wish you luck.
Why days, not months
Enterprise attribution projects have a reputation for dragging on for a quarter. Ours do not, for one reason: we are connecting to systems that already exist rather than asking you to adopt new ones. There is no rip-and-replace, no new platform for your team to learn, no data migration. We connect, we verify, and you start seeing the funnel.
The heavier lift is not the connecting. It is the judgment about what to connect and how to read it, and that is the part we take off your plate.
What you get on the other side
Once the stack is connected, the loop closes on its own. You get one private view of your funnel: which channels bring visits, how those convert to leads and calls, how intake handles them, and which of them become signed matters, all in rates and proportions rather than dollar claims. You never have to learn a dashboard. It is tracked for you and handed back in plain language.
If you want the bigger picture of how the whole system fits together before you connect anything, the how it works walkthrough covers it end to end.
Setup is the one part that asks anything of you, and it is smaller than most firms expect. Book a demo and we will map out exactly what connecting your stack would look like.
